ハイブリッド盆栽は、SDGsの理念に基づき、枯れた盆栽に「再生」と「アート」を融合させた新しい芸術です。長年を生き抜いた樹木を加工し、プリザーブド植物を枝に生け込み命を吹き込みます。廃棄された器も京漆塗りで再生。西陣織の帯を背景にした壁掛け型など和洋折衷の美を追求し、空間に癒しと存在感をもたらします。2025年9月にはEXPO OSAKAブラジル館に展示されました。
Hybrid Bonsai is a new form of art that fuses “regeneration” with artistic expression, created in the spirit of the SDGs. Trees that have endured many years of life are given new vitality by carefully processing their forms and embedding preserved plants into their branches. Discarded vessels are revitalized with Kyoto lacquerware techniques, while wall-mounted versions incorporate Nishijin-ori obi textiles as a backdrop, pursuing a harmony of Japanese and Western aesthetics. These works bring both tranquility and presence to any space. In September 2025, Hybrid Bonsai was exhibited at the Brazil Pavilion of EXPO OSAKA.
