伝統と革新が出会う、一夕限りの特別な舞台が京都駅前に現れます。金剛流能楽師・宇髙竜成と、立命館大学交響楽団が織りなすのは、能とクラシック音楽が響き合う新たな表現世界。演目に選ばれたのはアントニン・ドヴォルザーク。重厚で豊かなシンフォニーが、普段はなかなか交わる機会のない両者が、“駅”という日常の象徴的な場所で出会い、共演するという革新と静寂と気迫に満ちた幽玄の舞と重なり合い、これまでにない“音”と“能”のコラボレーションを生み出します。古と今が交差する瞬間の、心ふるえる感動をご堪能ください。
A once-in-a-lifetime stage where tradition and innovation converge will emerge before Kyoto Station.Performed by Kongō-school Noh actor Ryūsei Udaka together with the Ritsumeikan University Symphony Orchestra, this program weaves a new world of expression where Noh and classical music resonate as one.The chosen work is Antonín Dvořák. His profound and richly textured symphony intertwines with the ethereal dance of Noh—imbued with silence, intensity, and spiritual depth—creating an unprecedented collaboration of “sound” and “Noh.” This meeting of two forms, rarely seen together, takes place in the symbolic setting of the everyday: the station.

金剛流能楽師 宇髙竜成
Tatsushige Udaka, Kongo School Noh Actor
Born in 1981. Studied under the 26th Grand Master of the Kongo School, Hisanori Kongo, and his father, Michishige Udaka. First appeared on stage at the age of three and became a professional Noh actor after his time as a child actor. Alongside his stage activities, he organizes “Nohgaku Workshops” designed to be easily understandable and enjoyable for beginners, holding them in countries such as France, South Korea, and the United States. He has presided over his own performance series, “Tatsushige no Kai,” since 2015. In 2017, he began distributing videos on the “Tatsushige no Kai” YouTube channel, working to popularize Noh more broadly. Appointed as a “Sekisemi Shrine Performing Arts Ambassador” in 2019. Received the Kyoto City New Artist Award in 2020. Designated as a holder of Important Intangible Cultural Property (General Recognition) in 2023. Currently active mainly in Kyoto.
立命館大学交響楽団
Ritsumeikan University Symphony Orchestra
Celebrating its 70th anniversary this year, the Ritsumeikan University Symphony Orchestra is the university’s sole orchestra and aspires to be among the finest student orchestras in Japan. Deeply rooted in the local community, the ensemble has, since its founding, presented biannual regular concerts in spring and winter—giving over 130 performances to date.
In addition to its regular programs, the orchestra actively undertakes opera productions and regional tours, including performances in Tokyo and beyond. In 2025, to mark its 70th anniversary, the orchestra will present Gustav Mahler’s Symphony No. 2 “Resurrection” on Sunday, December 14, at Biwako Hall, Shiga Prefectural Arts Theater.
