概要
Overview
GNEのテーマを最も象徴する来場者参加型アート「Wishes on the Wall」。
国籍や年齢を問わず、来場者一人ひとりが抱く「願い」や「感謝」の想いを、壁を埋め尽くすポスト・イット® 強粘着ノートに書き込むことで、会期を通じて成長・変化し続ける巨大なアート作品を全員で創り上げます。
本企画は、誰もが参加できる現代的なパブリックアートと、古来より人々の願いを神に届ける貴船神社の神聖な「雨乞祭」の絵馬焼納式（お焚き上げ）という伝統儀式をマッシュアップさせたものです。
皆様の想いは会期終了後、ご神前での焼納式（お焚き上げ）を経て天へと届けられます。
京都駅を舞台に多様な想いが交差する交流と創造のハブを目指し、オーバーツーリズムという課題緩和への貢献も視野に入れた、京都ならではの物語性のある体験を提供します。
“Wishes on the Wall” is a participatory art project that truly embodies the theme of GNE. Visitors of all nationalities and ages are invited to write their feelings of “wish” and “gratitude” on the Post-it®
Super Sticky Notes that fill the wall, collectively creating a massive, ever-evolving artwork throughout the event. This project is a mash-up of contemporary public art accessible to all, and the sacred Ema Shono-shiki (votive tablet burning ritual) from the Amagoi-sai (rain-making festival) at Kifune Shrine—a tradition that has long served to deliver people’s prayers to the deities. After the event, all the collected wishes will be delivered to the heavens through this sacred bonfire ritual. Set at Kyoto Station, this project aims to be a hub for interaction and creativity where diverse thoughts and emotions intersect, offering a unique, narrative-rich experience distinctive of Kyoto, while also aiming to contribute to alleviating the challenges of over-tourism.

皆様の想いが込められたアート作品は、会期終了後、「貴布禰総本宮 貴船神社」の多大なるご協力のもと、3月10日に執り行われる神事、「雨乞祭」の絵馬焼納式（お焚き上げ）を経て天へと届けられます。古来「氣生根（気の生ずる根源）」と崇められ、水の神を祀る貴船神社。雨乞祭の神聖な炎で、作品に託された一つひとつの願いを浄化し昇華させるというご提案は、本プログラムの核となるものです。この場をお借りし、貴船神社の寛大なるご協力に深く感謝の意を表します。
After the event, with the generous cooperation of Kifune-jinja Shrine, the artwork filled with everyone’s wishes will be delivered to the heavens through a sacred bonfire ritual before the altar. Kifune Shrine, revered since ancient times as the “Kifune” (the root of ki energy), governs the energy of all creation. The proposal to purify and elevate each wish through its sacred flames is central to this program. We express our deepest gratitude to Kifune Shrine for their invaluable cooperation.

貴布禰総本宮 貴船神社
Kifune-jinja Shrine
Nestled in the mountains of Kurama, Kyoto, Kifune Shrine is an ancient sanctuary dedicated to the deity of water. According to legend, around 1,600 years ago, Tamayorihime-no-Mikoto, the mother of Emperor Jimmu, traveled upstream from Osaka Bay and built a small shrine at a sacred spring, marking the shrine’s origin. The enshrined deity, Takaokami-no-Kami—also known as Kuraokami-no-kamii—is a dragon god who governs rainfall, sunshine, and the life-giving cycle of water that nourishes the earth. Revered since ancient times as the “God of the Water Source,” Kifune Shrine has long been worshipped for protecting people’s lives and livelihoods. Even today, the shrine’s sacred “Day of the Ox” draws many visitors in devotion.
